Referral Programme Terms & Conditions

1. Who runs the programme

1.1The Gold Bank Competitions Referral Programme is run by JWE COMPETITIONS LIMITED trading as Gold Bank Competitions (“Gold Bank Competitions”, “we”, “us” or “our”), registered in England and Wales under company number 16174576, with its registered office at 12 Exchange Walk, Nottingham, NG1 2NX.

1.2By taking part in the Referral Programme, you agree to these terms. They apply in addition to our main Terms & Conditions and our Privacy Policy. If these terms and our main Terms & Conditions conflict, these terms apply to the Referral Programme.

2. Eligibility

2.1To take part, you must:

(a)be at least 18 years of age;

(b)live in the United Kingdom; and

(c)hold a valid Gold Bank Competitions account that has passed our age verification checks.

2.2You cannot take part or earn rewards while your account is suspended, closed or self-excluded.

3. How the programme works

3.1You’ll find your unique referral link in the Affiliates section of your account.

3.2When a new customer registers using your link and spends at least £20:

(a)you receive £10 Wallet credit; and

(b)the new customer receives £5 Wallet credit.

3.3The new customer must register using your referral link. We can’t add a referral to an account afterwards.

4. Qualifying referrals

4.1A referral qualifies only when all of the following apply:

(a)the new customer registers using your unique referral link;

(b)they have not held a Gold Bank Competitions account before;

(c)they spend at least £20 in total across their orders (Wallet credit used doesn’t count towards this); and

(d)the orders counting towards the £20 are processed successfully and aren’t refunded, cancelled or charged back.

4.2We issue rewards once only for each qualifying new customer.

5. Referral rewards

5.1We hold rewards for 14 days after the new customer reaches the £20 minimum spend, then credit them to your Gold Bank Competitions Wallet. We may review referrals before crediting rewards.

5.2You can only use Wallet credit to buy competition entries on our website.

5.3Wallet credit has no cash value. It can’t be exchanged for cash unless the law requires it, and it can’t be transferred to anyone else.

5.4Wallet credit does not expire.

5.5Any spend limits on your account also apply to entries bought with Wallet credit.

6. One account per person

6.1To keep things fair, each person may hold one Gold Bank Competitions account only.

6.2You must not use extra accounts, email addresses, payment methods, phone numbers or any other method to get extra referral rewards.

6.3If we find accounts linked to the same person, we may remove referral rewards, cancel entries where appropriate, and suspend or permanently close those accounts.

7. Fraud prevention

7.1We may investigate any referral activity and ask you for proof of identity. Acting reasonably, we may withhold, reverse or cancel referral rewards if we believe there has been:

(a)self-referral;

(b)duplicate or multiple accounts;

(c)false or misleading registration details;

(d)coordinated referral abuse;

(e)chargebacks or refunds of qualifying purchases; or

(f)any other attempt to manipulate or exploit the Referral Programme.

8. Promoting your referral link

8.1You may share your referral link with people you know personally, or on your own social media. You must not:

(a)send unsolicited emails, text messages or direct messages, or spam groups, forums or comment sections;

(b)advertise using “Gold Bank Competitions” or similar terms in paid search, or pretend to be us;

(c)target anyone under 18, or share your link with them;

(d)suggest prizes are guaranteed to be won, or misrepresent the chances or odds of winning;

(e)make false or exaggerated claims about prizes, promotions or the company;

(f)present competitions as a way to make money, solve financial problems or replace income; or

(g)publish content that could damage our reputation or break advertising or consumer protection law.

8.2You are rewarded for referrals, so any public post that includes your link must be clearly labelled as advertising, for example by putting #ad at the start.

8.3If your promotional activity breaks these rules, we may remove you from the Referral Programme and cancel your referral rewards.

9. Changes to the programme

9.1We may change, suspend or end the Referral Programme. Where possible, we’ll give reasonable notice on our website.

9.2Changes won’t affect rewards already credited to your Wallet, or referrals where the new customer registered before the change. We’ll honour these under the terms in place when they registered.

10. Decisions and complaints

10.1We decide whether a referral qualifies, acting reasonably and in line with these terms.

10.2If you disagree with a decision, email [email protected] and we’ll review it under our complaints procedure. Nothing in these terms affects your legal rights.

11. Governing law

11.1These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
